Santa Claus is Coming to Town.....

Santa Claus has become such a dear friend of ours this holiday season. I must admit I've been leaning on the old guy, quite a bit lately.....

He has been "watching" Bella oh so closely, ensuring excellent behavior and a good night's sleep.  Ol' Mr. St. Nick has been SO involved with our day to day actions, that Miss Bella had a request......

Bella: "Mom, can you please call Santa?"

Me: "Sure, what should I ask him?"

Bella (in the big girl voice) : "Can you tell him to stop watching me, it's really starting to freak me out."

Me: Silent...Trying to keep my composure...thinking...YES! Finally something that works! 

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.....

(Giovanna makes a very quick, upper forehead appearance/exit.  She is quite mobile these days and prefers to be anywhere, where I am not! ;-)

"The Sing Off" - I'm a fan...are you?

The Sing Off  Finale is tonight! ALL of the groups are SO entertaining! If you haven't watched the other three episodes, have no fear...  This show, featuring talented acapella groups will keep you keep you entertained for a solid two hours!  "Nota" is my favorite group and I really hope they can pull it off with the win! 

What a talented bunch of guys from Puerto Rico! 

Fancy Nancy

Soooo I had this great idea of taking Bella to "see" Fancy Nancy at our local Barnes and Noble a couple of weeks ago. To our surprise, Fancy Nancy wasn't invited to the soiree. ;-(

However, a very nice Barnes and Noble sales associate with a fancy pink boa did read a Fancy Nancy book aloud to the 50 three and four year olds waiting to see the guest of honor!  

Crisp and Cool

This time of year is my FAVE-O in Arizona.  Our cold isn't what others consider cold,  but it's cool and we bundle up with our winter besties like nobody's business.  

The holidays are REALLY making me miss teaching.  The performances, the classroom traditions, the anticipation of winter break and all of the holiday activities surrounding the season.  

HOWEVER, staying home has blessed me in SO many ways, I wouldn't go back to "work" for a million dollars.  (ok, maybe I would for a million, but not a penny less ;-)  

Since I have been on a little break (10 days to be exact) from my University of Phoenix Online gig, I have used my "free" time to list some new items in the shop.  The shop was CLEANED out by my fabulous customers on Black Friday, so I loved the chance I had to restock and create for the season!

The Romantic Side

So as I continue to challenge my creative spirit, I've been thinking of a way to create a soft and simple romantic style headband. I finally decided on this look and LOVE the way it turned out. The monochromatic look has always been a favorite of mine, especially when embellished with different textures.

Hopefully, several more will be added to the Romantic Fabric collection!
